- General Questions
- I am ready to accept the proposal that my estimator sent me. What do I need to do?
Make
sure you read the proposal in its entirety. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the project manager / estimator
that provided you the proposal and make sure any of your questions or concerns are resolved. Read the payment terms,
and note any down payment that is required of you prior to starting the job. Review your name, address, and contact
information as it appears, and report any corrections to our office. When you are ready to accept your proposal, sign
and date the bottom right hand corner of the proposal as indicated by the "Signature" line. Make sure
to read, initial, and date the Standard Operating Procedures, typically located on the back of the proposal you have been
provided. You may fax, email, or mail your proposal to your project manager. Once we receive your signed and dated
proposal and any required deposit, your project manager / estimator will contact you to schedule the work.

- What kind of questionand s should I expect to be asked when I call Gill's Electric to
set up a service/repair call?
When
you call our office, you can help our schedulers and estimators by having the following information ready: Your name
and best phone number; The name that the job will be set up under (i.e. the owner of the property, paying customer, general
contractor, and/or company name; The mailing and/or billing address; The jobsite address; The nearest cross-street of the
job; What day(s) and timeframes (morning? afternoon?) works best for you to meet with one of our electricians or estimators?
What are you looking to do? If you are looking for an electrician to provide you with a new installation of light fixtures,
switches, power equipment, etc., we will ask you some very specific details about what you need. The more details you
can give us over the phone, the better! Ask our professionals about other pieces of information that you can provide
to improve your experience with Gill's Electric. If we are working on light fixtures (interior or exterior), what types
of equipment have you seen used to access the working heights where the fixtures are located: Standard ladders?
Extension ladders? A mechanical lift to reach heigher working levels? Scaffolding?
Do you have circuit breakers or fuses in your electric panel? What kind are they? This is a common question that
you will most likely be asked when calling Gill's Electric for a service/repair call. Providing us with the type of
circuit breaker, amperage, and any other specifics you can, helps our electricians come to you better-prepared. You
may see that you have a Cutler-Hamer, Federal Pacific, Challenger, Square D panel, or a number of other types. All of
this information can be provided when you call Gill's Electric so that our electricians may better stock their service vans
before coming to meet with you. This helps keep costs to you down, and keeps the likelihood of a return trip to a minimum.
Don't forget: With today's technologies, you can take a photograph of the inside of your panel and send it to our dispatcher,
and we can help advise you on the type of circuit breakers / fuses that you have in your home or business.
